ROCHESTER-AREA PIZZA SHOPS PREPARE FOR ANNUAL SUPER BOWL BLITZ
Long before the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals line the field in Tampa, Fla., for Super Bowl XLIII this Sunday, pizza shops throughout the region will be getting ready for their own big day. Super Bowl Sunday is expected to set the high sales mark for pizza-makers across the nation. To keep up with orders, many local pizzerias are taking an all-hands-on-deck approach, getting as much done in advance as they can and making Sunday a mandatory workday for employees. "All the managers and owners, everyone knows that this is it," said Salvatore "Soccer Sam" Fantauzzo, founder of the local Salvatore's Old-Fashioned Pizzeria chain, where business is usually five times as good on Super Bowl Sunday as it is on a normal day. |
