Introducing: The Italian Fig Cookie Donut!

(Rochester, NY) Donuts Delite is introducing a new holiday donut today, that will be available during the month of December. The Italian Fig Cookie Donut!

Grandpa Charlie Oliveri brought his family to America in 1953 from Grotte, Sicily.

Within days, he bought his first home on Wadsworth Street and he soon planted his first fig tree in America!

Years later, he moved to Culver Road... just blocks away from Donuts Delite. He re-planted his famous giant fig tree.

The Democrat & Chronicle featured him on the cover of Upstate Magazine in 1985 with his famous fig tree.

"All my Uncles and Cousins would help bury that giant tree yearly in my Grandpa's Garden to protect it from our harsh winters." said SoccerSam Fantauzzo, "We all learned to love eating fresh figs."

Today, Nick Semeraro and his amazing staff at Donuts Delite pay tribute to Grandpa Charlie and his famous Fig Tree, through Donuts!.
